whos going? West Allis Wisconsin, WI - American Amusement Auction

I already have a couple interested parties but in case they fall through I thought I'd add Silent Scope 2 to my other games I'm looking to get rid of since I posted it in the other thread. I'd rather not haul it to the show until it's a done deal since I have to take apart the trim in my door frame to get it out (should have put in a bigger door, doh!), so interested folks are welcome to stop out for a beer. I should have pictures available wed night.

Hmm. What are you thinking price-wise?

Well that was quick.. take SS2 off the list of stuff I have, it just left the house yesterday. I still plan on being there though, if only to see how this "new" group runs things.

I'll be there in spectator mode, taking pictures for posterity.

it will be interesting to see how this is run, maybe we all can do lunch after??

I will be there for the beginning, have to dip out early, I committed to being part of a parade in my city, so I need to go and be a good business owner.

I know right? The Christmas Parade...in November :p
That makes a ton of sense -__-

I wouldn't mind grabbing lunch after with people. Probably not buying anything, since I still need to get money over for a BZ; and after replacing two of my tires this weekend. More to come on that fun story.

If anyone wants an em puck bowler from '51 for next to nothing, let me know. It keeps getting pushed to the bottom of my todo list. Can bring it to the auction, but don't feel like putting it in; rather do it on the side.

Well I will definitely be going, but now it looks like I'm not going to really have any cash to buy anything. So I'm just going to see what games they have this time around and what they sell for, and maybe meet some of you guys from the forum here. I have yet to actually meet any of you in person. I'm sure I ran across som at MWG, but I'm such a shy/introverted person, I'm not the type to just go up to someone and say hi. So if you see me this Saturday and feel like introducing yourself, feel free to say hi to me. I'll be wearing a white and grey zip up hoody with an "Epic Fail" Pac-Man t-shirt

Adam,

Are you bringing any machines to the auction? If you are going to, then what will you do when the machine you think is worth $1000 seems to be selling for $200? Are you going to just let it go or are you going to bid against it and hopefully get it to a price where you feel comfortable selling it? Since there are NO reserves set against these machines how do you expect the owner to get what they need to?

If the auction companies starting using reserves then I can see having a problem with operators bidding up their own machines, if not then what do you do? I agree that these kind of practices should not be allowed, but give us another suggestion in order to make most people happy.

There are reserves, if I read this correctly...

Can I set a reserve price on my games I bring to the auction?
Yes! When you set a reserve price on your item at the auction and the bidding doesn't meet your reserve price this is called a "Buy-Back". You are not charged any commission for a "Buy-Back" just a $10 Buy Back fee per item as well as the $10 Entry Fee.

please don't bid on your own stuff... use ebay if you want to rip people off.
