whos going? West Allis Wisconsin, WI - American Amusement Auction

I might go just to see the sights, I've got too many projects already and I'm saving my pennies for the MGC in the spring.

If someone is interested in some parking lot trades, I have a centipede cabaret project and an outrun project I could trade off...

I just talked to Shaun, he said there will NOT be an America Amusement Auction in November. Apparently the fair grounds is being difficult to work with

Just wanted everyone to be clear on this. I always liked the auction there. Usually a great pinball selection.

:( man i was so pumped!

Maybe they'll bump it up. I'd like to go to one, but I'll be flying back from Mexico that day. Also will be kind of short on $$$ :(

Well shit! I may well make this My First Auction. Now I'm glad I back-read the general discussion forum a ways.

I'll make an effort to save up money for it. What do I need to know about these auctions? Bring a checkbook? Don't drink and bid? :D

I'll be there. It's only about 2 miles from my house this time with it being in Waukesha.

Sorta in the same boat as Dan, can't spend too much. Saving for remodeling my basement, so I can finally build out my arcade. Only really interested in the games I have listed in my signature.

I think you save a little bit paying cash over charge. I don't think they accept checks, but I could be wrong (I've only paid by credit card). I think Dan's motto is: "Drink and bid"....or at least drink "coffee".

I'm tempted... about 2 1/2 hours for me, but don't know if I should add a 4th project to the queue. Never been to one... can you find good deals on "project" nonworking cabs at auctions like this?

I'm not comfortable walking into a warehouse full of strangers with significant amounts of cash on my person :O I'll just bring my two credit cards and do the ol' account transfer dance when I get home.

You could also bid/win some games, then at the end run to a bank to pull out cash. There are a couple different banks in the area.

Anyone in the Green Bay area (Kewaunee specifically), or passing through, willing to bring a game down with them? Looking at getting Darth Vader's Battlezone, and wanted to see if someone could help out on transporting it.

I figured you might try and save that battlezone, I thought about it but I figured I would just sell danny my other tempest giving me more room and cash.
