Who's going to the swap meet at Galloping Ghost Arcade?

Just wondering if anyone here is going to the swap meet at Galloping Ghost Arcade this Saturday Feb.2. It's the first time they're doing it so I'm kind of interested to see how it turns out. I'll be up there from 11 to 2 trying to sell some stuff. I'm beginning to be a hoarder of parts, and i want to try and nip it in the bud. haha

I'll be there.

I have to be out of town so I am going to miss it. Report back if you will and let us know how it goes .

Hmm, I will be up in Rochester, IL this Saturday. Is that anywhere near there? I'd love to have an opportunity to take leave from the future inlaws lol.

I've heard it's a variety of all kinds of things. If it's gaming related, it's on the table. PCBs, arcade parts, consoles, console games, etc. I highly doubt anyone is bringing any cabs.

Fun store. Comics, toys, used games. Not an arcade, but full of fun crap.

No real arcades around anymore. There is a big operator in Rochester that used to have a ton of empty cabs, but decided to burn them all instead of sell any. That's smart business right there! lol

Will do. Thanks. We're heading up to look at some cars since fiancee wrecked hers. Plus her mom wants her to go wedding dress shopping with her... So if I can get away that'll be great!

It is about 3 minutes from David's Bridal, and you can't see her in the dress before the wedding so it is a perfect excuse! lol

Just got the greenlight from the wife. I'm going. Bringing my Blasteroids, possibly some other stuff. Some JAMMA boards, got some stuff in storage too.

A few people had their stuff on tables. Doc and the GG crew had a ton of boards and marquees on tables. I was able to trade for a Bionic Commando board, which I was happy with.

I brought a duffle bag full of games -- some boxed, some loose. People had fun rifling through them, making offers on some stuff. I didn't expect any crazy good sales but walked away with about twenty bux and a B.C. board. That's a win in my book.

Though, one guy earlier in the day kept lowballing me and pointing to eBay on his phone, telling me he could get my stuff for a song with free shipping. Well, then you can just do that. Have fun. :p
For the most part, guys at the tables were cool people. Was able to shoot the breeze with 'em later on in the evening.

GG may do this again in a few months, so stay tuned for another thread when that comes about.

I was there from 11 to about 4 and ended up trading a monitor and an MK2 board to GGA for a Rambo3 marquee a Golden Axe marquee, a Final Fight marquee and some guest passes to the arcade. I also sold some T molding to dethfactor from the forums. I'm surprised he hasn't chimed in yet to tell the tale of his score from the swap.

All in all I had a good time chatting with the other sellers and hope to do it again!
