Who's going to Grandview on Saturday? (added some auction prices)

I'm heading up to KC this weekend to pick up the Operation Wolf that my buddy's been holding for me. I'll be stopping by the Grandview, MO auction Saturday to see if I can pick up some more weight to balance the load. :D Anyone else going?

You might actually get some good deals this weekend. That is as long as the e-bay re-sellers don't show up. But, with the holiday and all you might just have the pick of the litter. The last few have been complete junk fests though.

Well, at least I have another reason to make the trip. That Operation Wolf won't deliver itself. Also a great excuse to hang out with my college buddies Friday night. If there isn't anything at the auction, I'll just be home a little sooner. I went to the Thanksgiving auction last year, and I thought it was pretty good--left with a Spy Hunter and a Galaga for my friend.

Just got back home a few hours ago with my new (and very nice) Centipede! They did have a few classics there. Here are a handful prices that I jotted down (these don't include 12% premium or tax):

Gyruss "was working yesterday" $50
Police Trainer $90
Arkanoid $50
Superman $140
Stargate (pretty nice) $270
Toobin $150
Centipede (mine!) $310 --With premium and tax was $371
Simpsons $240
Primal Rage $160
Ultimate Mortal Kombat $190
Asteroids (very nice) $300
Afterburner $60
Mario Bros (black paint over side art) $80
Nintendo Red Tent $170
(There were also 2 red tent conversions that no one would take for $50)
Asteroids cocktail $235
Mr. and Mrs. Pacman pin $300
Funhouse pin $950
Xenon pin (missing a board) $500

That's all I wrote down. Pretty good time!

I brought that Centipede and the Stargate along with the Toobin, Birdie King III (dedicated) and Arch Rivals in the Taito cab.

The Centipede has a new overlay from Arcadeshop and in the past I've noticed their artwork was a little translucent and the colors were muted from the black showing through on the control panel, so I sprayed some white appliance enamel on the panel before applying the overlay.

The trackball also has new rollers and a new ball, reflowed headers and was throughly washed along with flushing the bearings and relubricating them.

That cab is in exceptional shape, along with the rest of the game. Good score at that price.

I didn't buy anything, but I'm happy to report that I cleared out 9 (yes nine) games from my garage this week.

Sorry I didn't see you there, Mike. Sounds like you brought all the good stuff.

That Centipede is top-notch! I knew the overlay was new, but did you also put on new side art? It looks much too nice to be original. The game will be well-enjoyed.

The sideart is original but since the game came from an estate over near Mission Hills, I suspect it was home use for most of it's life.

The Funhouse only went for $950?? Did it work?
I didn't play it, but I believe it worked fine. I watched the video you made a while back about your red tent, and I had a REALLY hard time passing up the two for $50, but the CPs were hacked to hell, and the "tents" looked like they went through a hail storm.
