Ive been chatting up my dad for about 9 months that someday hes going to own a pin. Hes been on ebay all the time, just hasnt found one to motovate him enough to pull the trigger.

About a year ago when i picked up my em hot tip, he really seemed to like it and showed alot of interest in it.

Im in the process of tearig it apart now, its coming with me to thier house this christmas. Hes gonna love it.

Is anybody else gifting a game or game related stuff?

Last year I gave a Ms. Pac to relatives. I also gave some parts away to friends in need...

I gave away my only spare working monitor last week to a friend of a friend. I also fixed up his MK4 (it needed everything.. marquee, light, starter, all new buttons and joysticks, lots of cleaning and ... a monitor). Merry christmas to that guy. =)

Not this year, but last year I put a letal enforcers board in my fater in laws lethal enforcers 2 for christmas..

Got my wife a Skee Ball Classic for Christmas this year. She loves Skee Ball and has been wanting one ever since I started buying Arcade machines. I've always told her, "no, their too big and too expensive." She's gonna be surprised this year.

I cleared out a bunch of stuff this year, oli got all my pin stuff and arcadefreak got all my vid stuff but that was during the summer.im getting a game for christmas though.

and probably getting some arcade related stuffs from my family, dont know? And i have my secret santa schwag that may be arcade stuff?

A couple years ago I found a Missile Command cocktail with monitor needs and restored the heck out of it for a good friend. Needed woodgrain, glass, and new trackball bearings and balls, but it got darn near new looking. He still has it. That was a fun restore and the first one I ever did for someone else. Totally different feeling. Depending on the job, you find yourself blaming and cussing the guy you are going to give it to - and he didn't even know yet.

Man, that is a lot of wrapping paper!

My wife actually bought me my grail. Icb but I had to go pick up because she couldn't pull off picking up and hiding. But plenty enough of a surprised for me. It's in arcade but can't play till Tuesday. What a great Xmas... Been wanting for awhile..

I was planning on building my brother's kids a bartop this year, but other projects got in the way. I guess It's a new year's resolution now for next year.

One of these days I will finally get them from my friend LOL

Also, I gave 2 games, 2 monitors, and a bunch of parts away to my friend a few months ago. Does that count as Christmas? lol

That's the Star Wars chair!

I gave my brother from another mother - Sammy Deer Hunter, it works great. Well despite the shotgun doesn't pump, which is no big deal in the long run to him. He's been after a Deer Hunter since we were kids playing it in the truck stop.

I'm also giving my disabled friend (another brother from another mother) a Mame setup. He really got down on a 60 in 1 when I had stored at his place before being sold. I felt bad and made a promise to have a Mame for him instead. Just need to move the cab from the garage to the house.

No I didn't destroy any classics to make a Mame. Generic cab already been hacked to hell, no love lost on it.

Well the old man loved it!!! I made the right call man. I dropped off the parts the night before christmas eve but managed to forget the frickin bolts.... later that night he already had the legs all polished up and ready to go on hehe.. I snuck in christmas eve while they were still at church and put it all togther so he came home to the sound of ding ding bing bing and came running downstairs with a big smile on his face :D

i bought a silent scope 2 for my new soninlaw for christmas. it was broken but i fixed it and cleaned it up. he was really excited as he has been wanting one since he played mine. his friends said i was the coolest fatherinlaw on the planet. it was a lot of work but it felt good to give it to him. ed

That is the coolest gift ever. Giving arcades as gifts falls under the realm of "super gifts"...Even though arcade buffs can find crazy deals on cabs and fix them up ourselves, people still view them as super expensive, crazy eccentric items of luxury.

Never the less, you pretty much are the coolest father in law on the planet for hooking him up with a SS2.

Wow. You are an awesome father in law.

I really dig the looks on peoples faces when they see that game that reconnects them with thier youth or with good memories.. awesome thing.

Glad to hear im not the only crazy giving away games
