too bad the autograph decal on the side of the cab wasn't the real deal! Since he passed away, I think Jackson is MORE popular now then he was while living

This is just something I had in the warehouse and cleaned up for sale. I thought it cleaned up pretty good...

I am open to offers if someone is interested. I posted it more for grins than anything else. This is the dedicated version of the game and it works great. I am suprised more people have not talked about the fact this pcb has a suicide battery. I have a local bar owner who is interested in it is why I cleaned it up but he may or may not buy it.

What do you mean "Suicide battery"?

the battery will die at a random point in time, and you have a certain amount of time before you can either save it or its lost forever, it erases the game. look up capcom suicide battery on google

Someone local to me is trying to a dump a Moonwalker kit for $750.00.
To sell this crap you should've done it right at the time of his death. Everyone jumped on the band wagon. Things have simmered down as of late. I think you missed the window of opportunity. BTw yes it did clean up nice.

It seems that things stayed around the same throughout the ordeal of Jackson's death. Prices were always right around $1000. There are still people looking for the game, I still get emails about mine....

Actually, it more refers to after the battery has expired, it will begin to leak acid. The acid spills onto the pcb, and eats through components, traces, etc, which of course kills the game.

I don't think that means what you think it means. ;)

You may have heard the term "suicide battery" used before and wondered what the heck it meant. Several arcade game manufacturers decided it would be a good idea to put a battery on their game boards that, when they die (and they will die), disable the game.

The battery leaking is just referred to as Acid Damage.

Correct. Leaking battery = acid damage.

Suicide battery = a battery backed conversion table for decrypting ROMs or for hashing memory access in such a way that makes the copying of the game extremely difficult.

Once the battery dies and the information is lost, the game is dead.

Unless it is one that Channelmanic knows how to fix like my Super Pang! :D
