I have the board for one around here somewhere. I think I may have had controls at one time......

I know where one is...

My buddy who is a game operator has one of these he offered to sell me once..I never even considered it..I could snag it..whats it worth?????

So you sold it to the current seller?? Is it as nice as it looks in the photos??

Back then I actually sold it to Todd/TNT. I was literally, I dunno, 15-16 years old when my neighbor who was a former OP liquidated a CRAAAPLOAD of games. Of course I was sitting in my back yard (that faces his garage) with my jaw on the ground. He came up to me and promised me a couple would be mine, and came through with 2 cabs - I believe the Slalom was in a Galaxian cab and a Mania Challenge (in some cab I don't remember).

Anyhow the Slalom was awesome and the skiis worked but the springs were broken in them. It took me a while to find the right springs and the local hardware store guy had to special order them for me, then they had to be cut down to be the right length. Once I swapped them out the skiis worked great and me and some friends played a bunch of games, but my dad insisted it had to go since it kinda blocked the tractor in the shed. So I called around and Todd @ TNT wanted to buy it. He explained it was rare to see the skiis actually working since the wires go down the poles to the platform, and usually when people transported them upright, the poles would jab into the platform cutting off the wires.

The Mania Challenge had no board in it, but whats funny was he had a dumpster and I pulled a random board off the top of said dumpster, which turned out to be the Mania Challenge board! Unfortunately it was missing one rom chip, but a quick look around with a flashlight found the chip laying in a dust bunny in a dark corner. I got it working and it ended up in my basement, and honestly, me and my buddies had a great time playing it a lot, despite how crappy it is. Then it came time to part with that, and I ended up selling it to a nearby social services school/center called Wordsworth Academy for their game room (through my guitar teacher who volunteered there).

Not sure if I have any pics of them anywhere but that was my first two games ever!

AWESOME!!! I remember seeing this as a young child in a discount movie theater in town. By this time the game was a few years old already and I think it was a conversion. I don't remember it being in a Nintendo cabinet, I think it was in a taller cabinet. I got this game for my 5th birthday on NES.

I've got two of these with ski attachments. I'll have to look through my toppers and see if I have one for slalom. If not, I'll buy that one off Todd.

I've always wondered and hoped that these were worth a lot, but this thread is the first time I've seen anyone mention them in 20 years.
