Whoa, Working Star Wars, Galaga & Pole Position? On Location?

Yep, on vacation with the family, checked out the gameroom next to the pool and there they were. All had monitor issues but all were working. For some reason, hardly any marquee lights worked. I played all 3. Looks like they leave them on 24/7 too. When I left at 11 the staff was gone and the games were all still on. Also got to play a Fish Tales Pin for the first time. I actually liked it. Anyhow, couple celly pics.

Nice classic pile. I don't think I have ever seen a Star Wars on location. Seeing a working Pole on location is a sight also. I wonder how long a vector monitor would last running 24/7.

Wow- that's amazing! I think I've only seen 1 Star Wars on location and it was BITD. Are you sure you don't drive a time machine?

Bastard! The only reason you'd be working a deal on it is because it's got an AMP in it. dammit.....

I already know where you are, since I just talked to you on the phone like 20 minutes ago....

You keep quiet and I'll make it worth your while.

On location near a pole is bad for the game. Save those games as the op used the pool location for cheap storage as they always do. My High Speed spent time near a pool. and there is a lot of corrosion and there was paint damage I had to fix. My Starwars was on location for 2 years straight just before the rerelease of the original series in the 90's in a comic store. Glad I saved it. It was running fine route serviced at the time.

nice find, shawn. i was trying to work a deal on the fish tales when i was at that place last month but then the wife stepped in. aside from the games, it's a nice place to vacation. the dirty harry pin was pretty sweet to play, as well. did you see the second game room in the hotel part? 4 more games in there i think.

note: don't bother pm'ing me. i won't give out details till phet works his deal out.

That arcade even has a poor bastardized 4-Player Gauntlet, 2-player Gauntlet (or Rolling Thunder), and Tempest.

Poor, poor Tempest.

Hard to keep those machines running. I had one and it took me 2 years to get everything working right. I used to think as you do, now I know why so many Tempests were converted. The only sucky part is that the monitor in that machine needs serious attention. Also, the 90 degree glass is horrible for that game.

Couple of years ago I saw a standup Star Wars on location in the waiting room of a full service car wash of all places. I asked about it, and the guy said he wasn't interested in parting with it.
