Has anybody else seen this thing? Just found it on YouTube and post of the footage was only uploaded a few days or less ago. Mostly on the 23rd or 25th I think.

It's like a brand new EM with computer components I would suppose.

Footage / video from Stern themselves of gameplay in action: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2FB7ZarpJ1g

I wonder if this is going to sell, let alone earn $1.00 per play.

I know there's a lot of fans of slower paced games out there but I'm not sure I can see this selling at $5500. (I believe that's what the price was)

There is a big thread about this over on Pinside. Looks cool, but out of my price range...

That MSRP is a bit much. I think they'd sell a few in the $4000 range perhaps, but we'll see what the actual street price ends up at...

Yeah, right away too. Also, it seemed like a lot going on in the shooter lane with repeated launch attempts, and the ball feeding back in from the upper right.

nothing wrong with the ball launcher.. He was trying to get the lanes on the right.

It does seem to feed back to the shooter lane a bit much imo though.

My feeling is that the em people are going to balk at having to pony up 5500 for a new machine when they can realistically buy 10 ems and fill a rec room for the same sum.
I see some very slim sales on this title.

I love the artwork(and have since I first saw it) but I am not going to spend $5500-$6500 on it. If it was $3500 I would get one... no doubt. If it was $4500 I'd really have to think hard(at what I'd sell). :)

Beautiful machine imho. :beerchug:

I never liked the 2" flippers, but I love the art. the price is too steep on this one though also no multi ball?

I was gonna get a star trek le but I picked up a nice nba fast break thanks to scott Maggie. I am shopping it out and really liking it. gonna put that nba pin in the game room for now. not gonna buy anymore pins for a while no more room!

I like the guys from Whizbang who created it. I like the artwork and the overall look of the game with the crate base. I think it would be way cooler as an actual em machine like the very first one they made. The price is over the top as well and you can have a room full of fun nice ems or a few stunning restored ems for that price which I'd rather do. I played it a few times here at TPF this weekend and it was ok. I spent most of my time here playing ems and early solid states which I think will be the direction I go in collecting

I'm not a huge EM fan as is, but it looks incredibly boring. Typical massively open, slow EM style playfield, a couple of bumpers, and those horrible 2" flippers.

Combine that with the tacky boob jokes (I'm more a fart joke kinda guy) and the huge price tag? Pass.

After putting several games on it at the TPF, I find it's actually better than I expected - plays fast, and the sound was pretty good (although it was hard to hear unless you stuck your head right down near the head given the ambient noise), and a bit more depth than I expected.

You do appear to get both the crate and the legs, and the artwork is fantastic - very well done, and the design of the cabinet is really nice.

Concerns - reels were acting up on two different machines at different times (wasn't resetting when starting a new game), and again, the price.

I think these would sell reasonably well in the $3500 range, but there's simply not enough game there for standard Stern pricing in my opinion... It's a pretty game, but that's not enough to justify that price for me. Curious to see how any buyers review it after having it for a while.

Also played a bit at TPF, for the first time. I agree--although it i an EM-style playfield, it does not play like one. It really does play like a recent Stern game (even with 2" flippers). It has the Stern "punchy" pops, flippers are punchy with more control than in most EMs, ball moves around very fast. I see it more as a 'hybrid' game--fast modern play on an EM-style layout.

Several of my operator friends would buy it if the price were down to $4,500. They said it would be good for their tavern/bar locations.

i like em's so i dig this pin - alot, but there is no way in the world i would pay more than about 2.5k for one of these and even that kind of money is a stretch since you really don't get much for your money

i just don't see them being able sell very many at the retail price

The game would sell better if the price point was lower. New machines have skyrocketed in price over the last few years. I remember buying new LOTR (Lord of the Ring) pins for $3250 new in the box, a few years later Family Guy had a price increase to $3450 (new in the box) and my BBB (Big Bang Bar) was $4500. My friends thought I was crazy to buy a new BBB at $4500 when I could get a new Stern for $1000 less.

The pinball hobby sure got expensive.

I played it at TPF. Walked away in the middle of my first ball. Not for me...

I played it there as well. Played three balls. Played a second game. Dull, dull dull. Great concept poorly executed. Nothing there to make me go back and play it. Never really a line to play the machines either. Going to be a limited run in my opinion.
