And how much should I expect to have to pay to have 2 of these dudes repaired? One plays beautifully but resets randomly every hour or so. The other has a heartbeat now but still doesn't boot up.

Or alternatively....how much would I expect to pay to just buy 2 working good boards?

I'm just frustrated and tired of working on them and and I feel like I'm driving everyone crazy with all my questions so I want to look at other options. If they are affordable.

Sorry, but I do not work on older Williams boards.

Before you give up on the one that reboots, try tapping on the board interconnects while it's running. If it resets then you may have bad solder joints or a bad cable.

i've never used Andre but have heard only good things about him.

if that avenue doesn't work out, try Dick Millikan. i've purchased several loose Defender boards from him (RAM, audio, widget) and he may have what your looking for or be able to repair yours.

and for a ballpark, i paid about $100/shipped for a fully working set last year.

Thanks guys....Andre it is then. I think I'm going to try a couple more things on the board that keeps resetting first and see if I can get that one going on my own. But the other...well...I could spend forever ordering parts and trying to figure it out but it could take forever and will probably end up costing me as much as just having him do the work!
