I put a cap kit in it and the fuses blew.. my electronic skills arent the best in the world..

so i was wondering if i can ship it to anyone on here or send mine and some cash to someone for a rebuilt board? Pretty much anything that will get my centipede working..

did you replace the hot and flyback aswell?

yup, sure did. i had a white line down the center of the monitor... then took it out to make sure all the joints were good.. when i put it back in the fuses poped.

i just want it to work. and maybe its better suited for someone else and not me.

make sure the wires that go to the hot and vr are not ground out against the frame, it will blow the fuse everytime if they are. i used this as a guide to do mine.

also test to make sure the hot and vr are insulated from the frame.

Im the wind..

i live in west virginia.... I'm thinking i might have some more problems now though. ha ha

I can fix the G07 for $50 + parts + shipping. If your new parts are still good, then that save a lot of money, but if you somehow blew something up, they may have to be replaced. A full G-7 replacement kit is usually about $30-35 to give you an idea...

To follow up: R903 was open, plus the ceramic spacers for the VR were omitted during reinstallation. Lots of bad solder, plus both the VR and horizontal output transistor were blown. Some other things as well, but that's what comes to mind at the moment.

Currently sitting on my test bench burning in.
