Sure, you can fix it, but it'll be a whole lot more reliable (and much less time and effort) to replace the neckboard. I just contemplated this for a cracked neckboard I had on a G07, and I was able to score a great price on one from a local KLOVer.
Just throw up a WTB post. Keep the old neckboard - there's lots of good parts there.
If you're gonna pitch the neckboard, LMK...I'll take the neck socket. I make rejuvenator adapters for the forum members who have B&K rejuvenators and need CR23 adapters.
