Who wants to buy my collection? **UPDATED 1st POST**

(Original post is below)

So, I've been working on my games with the intention of getting as many of them working and reassembled as I can to better entice potential buyers. Since doing this with several of the games, I've reassessed the conditions shown on my list, while keeping the prices the same as (or very close to) what I already had them at.

I'll be updating the list and adding photos as I get more games done. In fact, check the end of the thread for some photos now.

I've pulled a couple of games off the list that I've decided to keep for myself, and I've added a couple that I've decided to now part with, so it's pretty much a wash.

I'm still not to the point of wanting to sell these individually, but I'm not ruling that out for down the road.

The asking price for the entire collection is still $3500, which is a great price.

Here's the updated list of my stuff:

If you have any questions, or if you are interested, send me a message.

Thanks.
Dave

So, here's the deal... I haven't worked on anything in earnest for over a year, I downsized my living arrangement, I'm paying for monthly storage to keep some of the games I haven't gotten to, and I simply never play the games I have that are working.

Long story short, I'm getting out of this hobby. My daughter is keeping her multi game that I built, so there's that. But it makes no sense to keep paying for storage and to keep trying to find room in my house and garage for the other things in my life.

So I'm going to offer my collection up at a killer price. I used Exidy as a start for pricing and I was extremely honest in assessing the condition of each game, making adjustments in the prices. I'm coming up with a low "Blue Book" value of $7,750 for everything I have (this includes all the games, parts, hardware, artwork, CP's, extra monitors, etc...)

So $7,750 would be a great deal for all the stuff I have. But since I want to sell it all at once and not worry about having to try getting rid of it one piece at a time, I'm going to cut that price in half.

That's right! My entire collection of arcade stuff is going out the door for (*EDIT*) $3,500. Heck, I'll even give someone that's interested a little wiggle room on that price. But I can't go too much lower because I'm going to use the money from this sale to pay for my daughters braces (teeth, not legs)...

**EDIT** This listing has been updated. I had forgotten that I promised to sell my Tron game to a local collector, so that game is no longer part of the lot. Also, after plugging in the Galaga last night, it wasn't booting up properly, so I made those changes to the listing.

Because of this, I'm also adjusting the price from $3,875 down to $3,500. Still a smoking deal though.

All prospective buyers have been informed via PM.

Can you explain the relationship between "working" and parts "none?" Does that mean the game needs parts but some how works or works and has no extra parts?

Since all of those are $100, I'm going with empty or mostly empty cab.

Edit: I miss read your post... (thought you meant not working/no parts)... you could have "extras" for a working machine...

Sorry to hear this but, understand life changes when not fun do something else.

Sorry for the confusion. "Working" means does the game function or not. Can it be played as is.

"Parts" means do I have any additional parts for that specific game.

I'll explain the ones with "Parts" listed in more detail:

Pac-Man is completely restored, but the CP and the marquee currently on it are still the temporary ones I "made" myself. But I have a new CP and CPO that were made by Takeman and I have a repro marquee. Once installed, it will be fully restored like new.

Crazy Kong is almost completely "restored" but it's not a dedicated game. It's in a Stern cab but I designed a new theme and artwork for it that more closely resembles Donkey Kong. You can see what I did with it here: https://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=360699

Tron is working and playable, but I wanted to do some upgrades to it that I never got to. It comes with the "Tron" light shields that were offered on this site.

Missile Command has been a pain in my butt to get going. It has all parts needed, but the main PCB doesn't want to boot up. But it has a rebuilt and working power supply board and it's completely restored other than that.

Out Run is the biggest project on this list. It's completely torn down to be restored. It has a new board for the monitor, the steering mechanism has been completely rebuilt with new gears, the plastics are all there, and it has new side art. It basically has everything needed to get it running again, it just needs to be done.

The Red Tent is the other big project that needs a full restoration. It comes with very few parts.

Off the Wall has all the parts needed to get it back together and playing, but the monitor will need to be recapped and the cab could use a little work. Not bad though.

Quarterback works, but needs a restore including a rebuilding of the both the monitor and the CP.

The MACH 3 is actually a Choplifter that works but needs to monitor recapped.

Battlezone works but needs a restoration including a rebuilding of the sticks. I have replacement grommets for it.

POW was bought with the intention to convert it back to a Track & Field. No work has been done to it and it's still playing POW just fine. I have a T&F board (don't know if it works) for it.

Crazy Kong with the pink screened artwork?

No. See above.

Since all of those are $100, I'm going with empty or mostly empty cab.

Nope. The only one that's actually empty is the Red Tent.

Out Run, Quarterback, and Sprint 2 will need significant work, but they have all their parts.

Like I said, I was very honest about the shape of these things and I'm offering an absolutely killer deal here. So much so that I already have a couple of messages about this.

That is a killer deal. You are averaging apx 200 a game at your price. I want to come out there and get them just because the price is great. I would be surprised if they are not sold yet.

if this was in the Mid-Atlantic, i woulda already roped a buddy in and paid you your asking price. sheesh, excellent deal, and quite affordable as far as "bulk buys" go

OK, westcoasters ... what you got?

If I was in your area, I wouldn't hesitate. Don't waste your time with tire kickers or hecklers, that's a solid fair offer. Bump for good luck.

Saw most of these games today. It's a great price for the lot. If I had the room I would pull the trigger on this. Great seller to deal with. 👍
