Who do you guys recommend to use for moving a arcade machine lets say 900 miles 1 way. I have used NAVL, 3 times in the past & always had good luck with them. The last quote I got from them was pretty pricy, but they do deliver to your door....

I would be good with picking up at a terminal if it saves money

thanks for everyones help

Michelle from NAVL has shipped 99% of our games. The key is to ship in pairs... you can pretty much ship 2 for the same price as 1... or 4 for the same price as 2, etc.

We've received two games shipped "FedEx Freight" by the seller... Seller palleted and I picked up at the local FedEx dock. Was very smooth.

i second michelle at NAVL. i have used her many times to ship games and only great results.

Ship two games anytime your shipping!!! if you price one game and as an example its 450.00 but if you ship two its only 480.00. much cheaper per game to ship two.

That's really good to know. I've always assumed that shipping games up here to AK would be an absolute deal breaker, but if it's cheaper by the pair it might make it less so.

Do they need to be packaged / palleted together for that to work? Do people pallet them at all, or just cardboarded / shrinkwraped?

NAVL will do it all for you included.

Interesting. This does not bode well for my pocketbook.

Do they pick up from residential locations? I'm gonna have to give Michelle a call and see just what it would take to get a game up here.

yes they do pick up from anywhere.

shipping machines

The 3 times I have used them they just blanket wrap & go....I was just curious if there were other options....it sounds like NAVL still does most of the moving

yes they corner board and wrap them but most of the time they never have it on a pallet for standard size games.

Funny you should ask, I got this in the email yesterday morning:

We are pleased to announce that Forum Logistics Inc. is now an agent for CRST Specialized Transportation, effective immediately. Previously we were going to market as Precision Transportation. Now we are an agent for CRST Specialized Transportation, we are conducting business under our own name as Forum Logistics.

We certainly have had some name changes over the years - northAmerican Van Lines (NAVL), northAmerican High Value Products (HVP), Specialized Transportation Inc. (STI) - and for the last five years CRST Specialized Transportation, a CRST International Company.

Thank you for sticking with us, even if you can't remember what name to call us. We answer to them all. Different name one more time, now as Forum Logistics, but same great blanket wrap service that you rely on to move your coin operated pinball games, arcade games and jukeboxes. Whether you ship one game a year or one a day, we are your resource for moving new and out-of-box arcade equipment.

Everyone says NAVL but I really think you want STI. I know NAVL outsources this to STI but I've also heard people say that if you call NAVL they will tell you they don't ship video games or pins.

You could also try u-ship

Michelle Bianchi posted this in another thread today:

"Hi Everyone, it's been awhile since I posted on this, but wanted to make everyone aware that my old company is trying to steal my coinop business. They have hacked into my emails and have stolen my contacts. In fact just yesterday their new "salesperson" donated to this forum in order to infiltrate my business. I just wanted everyone to have my newest info it's [email protected] my cell is 630-344-3093, the company that is trolling is Forum Logistics.
Thanks for 15 years of continued business!
Michelle"
