Who stole my damn shuttle?!

I'm thinking that an older pinhead wouldn't pay $170 for that. It's either a noob or someone who is a shuttle away from having a minty Space Shuttle.

FYI: I fall under the noob category.

I paid $120 for a set of "pretty decent" Heavy Metal Meltdown plastics. My ramp is totally effed and, hey, how often do have a shot at a set of HMM plastics? I thought I'd spend years searching "pinball ramp" on eBay, hoping to get lucky.

Noob on noob violence must commence immediately! I have great plans on this and will not be deterred!!

I believe a slimy veteran pinhead would write the person and be like, "I'll give you $200 if you sell it to me and tell that guy you lost it."

Sadly, this happens... often... with success.

I've actually got what I think is a pretty solid plan to repro these. At that price, it's a total waste of money for me to go behind someone's back and offer that kind of cash. But it's going to take a while as I have to pay for things that I can't possibly ever build myself first while they're available before buying the equipment to do that.

I bid 140$ on it 5 seconds before it ended. I couldn't believe my eyes when it popped up with that final price..I told myself I was only going to bid up to 100$ to boot.

FAIL.

If you're going to repro them you shouldn't necessarily need an NOS example.

How is the person who bought it greedy? Because they wanted it more than you? That's called sour grapes ;)

I've been experimenting with reproing 3D plastics, this works well.
I've succeeded in doing the Cactus Canyon lost mine plastic and guns.
Did it for myself, my lost mine plastic was broken, and I want to install guns in another color and didn't want to start painting my original guns.
More info is at: http://www.flippers.be/cast_silicone_mold.html

If you make a silicone mold, you better have a piece that's nos or in as good possible condition. Any imperfections (cracks that have been repaired, ..) will be copied. :(

It take quite some time to make one piece, but I think the results are quite good.
Currently I'm thinking about informing about getting a license to repro these parts so I can sell them (just tried it for my own). If anyone has more ideas for parts that can be copied (and has sample pieces) I'm interested to hear about them..
