Who started with a pin and went to vids? Am I backwards?!

Newer guy to the hobby and been lurching over the past few months. I got my first pin in May of this year. :D I enjoyed the posts where people started with vids and went to pins. I went the other way and honestly unusual how I fell into the hobby. I was heavy into cars from high school until about a a year ago. Got bored of cars and sold my cobra in Feb.

Out of the blue I felt the urge to play pinball like i did in the early to mid 90's (Although I still hit OC, MD twice a year and always hit up the arcade for some pin fun!) and was curious if they are able to be bought hence my HS2.

Now I've opened up a can of worms! Still love cars, but not enough to have one of my own (for now anyway!) I had them in the garage until last month when I brought them into the basement as I prep the basement for a "small" arcade of sorts. Lots of great stuff

So, who else started with a pin and went to vids? Any similar stories?

I started with cars(still have my 1966 mustang convertible) went to pins, then vids, and now moving back to pins.

Following this pattern you must soon go back to cars, then shortly thereafter revert to a fetus.

Well, I'm sure I'll be back to cars in a few years when I hit my mid-life crisis.

My first arcade machine was a pin I picked up at a yard sale (Gottlieb's Striker, $35. It need a new flipper coil and some bulbs. Yes, that price is correct - the guy selling had NO clue. At the time, neither did I).

I've since then picked up several vids, and another pin (not yet working). So we come at it from all angles.

My first pin was a WMS Aztec. Shoot, that's been "I'm going to fix it one of these days" for almost 9 years now. Picked up a vid and an empty cab last summer for a MAME cab. I don't feel any allegiance towards one format or the other. To be honest, I'd really like some "novelty" games, a shooting gallery, mechanical driving game, or something like that. A baseball machine would be tits-o-matic, but apparently those are collectible now.
