Who sells trakballs compatible to the 60-1 boards ? Or does anybody sell a harness to make an atari trakball combatible to the multi-boards ? thanx fred

What's wrong with the green boards? Why don't they work?

I have had green boards work but modessitt ( and others ) have reported more problems with the green vs the red.

www.twistedquarter.com sells the 2 1/4" trackballs for like $55-$80 depending on if you want extra options.

I always get the $55 trackball from them.

Got my trackballs for 60-in-1s at Twisted Quarter. I think they have red boards, but not sure why that would matter. The Real Bob Roberts sells a harness that has the 6-pin Molex connector mate for the trackball and the 6-pin header connector for the 60-in-1 pcb.

Does the Bob Roberts connector make the green board Atari track balls work?

Do the Bob Roberts adapters just wire the 6-pin TB molex connector to Player 2 U,D,L,R, +5, and GND on the JAMMA harness?

I normally just wire molex with 6 female pins to the wires mentioned above to mate with the TB connector. I get newer trackballs to work this way, but the old Atari green PCB TBs will still not work.

Arcadeshop sells a trackball that will work just fine with. You'll still need to wire it up to the harness or use an adapter to plug it into the board...

No. Bob's adapter is used to connect a track ball directly to the 60-1 TB header.
I suppose you could cut off the connector for the 60-1 header and wire it directly to the jamma harness.
The TB's with the green boards don't always work with the 60-1 boards.
