I found them at Paradise arcade. Wondering if there anyone in the States? I'm sure it's an off the shelf part. I purchased one like 15 years ago from a hardware place.

Nothing at arcade shop..

Search here shows a lot of old kits.. I just need the gear

Pic for reference

Thanks

This is where I found my spur gear.

Did this one have the set screw already drilled and tapped or did you need to do that yourself?

It was for my Shoot the Bear. I had to machine the shaft to size and then drill for a roll pin off center to hold it into place.

Plastic would work considering how little it gets played at home
The original plastic ones held up to decades of hard arcade use.

Making them out of metal was just silly and made them not original materials.

You could even build an entire cabinet out of metal because it is more durable than the particle board they were originally made out of but that would be equally nonsensical.

I will check my stash when I get home if you're interested.

Thanks. I'm out of town for work next week so I have a little time.

Hard to believe the bigger arcade place in the states don't have them.

I bought a Kit a couple years back, great quality. As far as I know Minnesota is still part of the United States:

The USD dollar tab at the top of the page through me off...I've been out of the loop for a while.

But Yeah. $13.26 to ship a gear that weighs a couple ounces. It feels like they are International.

Just shipped a monitor last week chassis to Tennessee for under $17.

Looked through my massive horde of SW yoke parts. Amazingly, I don't have any of these anymore. Sorry!

So the Info I found out so far for future searchers...

Spur gear MOD 1
14T 24p 1/4 bore (6.35MM) 16MM diameter

I do not have the length measurement yet

These are a few bucks on ebay.

If anyone has one sitting around to confirm the length...that would be awesome

I ordered s couple to see what they are like

I used a micrometer to measure 2 original 14 tooth gears and the shaft of the pot.

I found:
The bore diameter (pot shaft diameter) is 6.32mm (1/4"). The "6.35" offered on the site would be perfect.

The outer gear diameter was 17.15mm on one and 17.4mm on the other. I think the 16mm diameter offered on the site may not work properly. But it might...depending on how much slop there is. I suspect it may slip when the yoke is twisted suddenly.

I don't think the tooth height values are too important, because it can be adjusted, but:
Tooth height: 6.4mm

Regarding the overall height, the original is: 14.35mm, the part on the site is 18mm. I think there is some extra space in the yoke off the end of where the gear engages the larger gear, this might be OK, you only need slightly more than 1/8". You could possibly grind or dremel it shorter if needed also.

That gear has (2) set screws, but you would just use (1) of them, on the single flat part of the pot shaft.
