Who says, "Video Games don't tech us anything?"

In speaking with a co-worker the other day, he tells me he has a 1980's Peavey power amplifier that is having some issues. He already ordered replacement tubes, so we discussed him performing a cap-kit on it, along with checking for cold solder, worn/weak resistors, measuring voltage from the transformers, electrical safety, etc.

Who says, "Video Games don't tech us anything?" :)

BTW, most of the internal connections matched what Williams used on Defender, Stargate, Joust, etc. As expected, he found cold solder!

I wonder if Eddie Van Halen can fix my Pac Man board...

:D

Fixed my 1990's sports car by determining a timing control module had "bad electrolytic caps". Truth. (The worst part was removing and reinstalling it from under the center dash area ... at least arcade games are easier to access ... LOL).

Ha, I did the same for a 1992 Honda Accord. The transmission computer just needed a cap kit. [emoji2]
