who says the arcade market is down????

thats cheap!

if that is $2000 where you live thats £4000 where i live seeing as you get your cabs in usa for a third of what we pay and you have them in abundance,we only got shi**y jamma generic crap!
:(

i sold a DK fully restored for $1000, of course that was 6 years ago. he'll never sell it at that price.

After seeing the price you guys pay for some of the games you aquire I think I WAY overpayed for my first and only game TAPPER. It was listed on eBay for $1499.00 US and I made a "Best Offer" of $1299.00 US and it was accepted. The seller also owns an amusement specialty store and is on KLOV. THe game is supposedly completely restored and has a warentee but do you think I overpayed?

A warranty is worth a lot if it's from someone who is going to be around a while, and will make good. Most of the folks here on KLOV fix and restore their own stuff, so we don't want to pay the big bucks. If you are happy with the game, and if it works and looks good then YES, that's an OK price. ESPECIALLY if you can't fix it yourself and you got the warranty with the game.

For me? No, that's not a price I'd pay. But my games do NOT look that good (I go for fixing it till it works, then play it, not the full restores that some guys do) and when they break, it's on me and me alone to fix it. For me, that's part of the fun, but for you? The warranty was probably money well spent.

QFT on all accounts. My thoughts exactly.

I know this gets said all the time, but a game is worth what one is willing to pay for it.I wouldn't pay that much for ANY game, but if it's worth it to you then that's all that matters.

LOL, that's what you say on list. Off forum you're saying this jackass paid $1300 for Tapper, what a noob!!!

Games are worth what you're willing to pay. YOU made the offer of $1299, so you weren't pressured into buying it; so I don't think you overpayed. That's what you felt comfortable paying. You probalby could have gotten one less expensive, but the easy thing to do that day was buy it! Plus you got a warranty.

There's a lot of very thrifty people on KLOV, they represent the hobbiest market, not the retail market.
