Who repairs TEMPEST pcb's?

Someone on here was just giving props to http://www.ataricade.com/ for a Major Havoc board fix. The repair guy is also a member on the forums, but I'm not remembering his user ID.

Also, I know JBuck on here used to do Tempest boards, but I have not seen him on here in a while.

thanks for the site's fellas.

I am trying to get my TEMPEST up and running after capping the monitor i still have the same problem with the line going left to right through the middle of the screen. After pulling the pcb and resetting the connector i realized there was a tag that reads

Bretts Reflowed connectors - no charge

5/17/04
Working almost 100%

some collapsing graphic issue

I wonder if the PCB is the problem and not the monitor..

If your deflection is collapsed to a single line, it usually is the monitor. Cold solder joints on the header pins for the deflection transistors is almost always the issue. It could be a cold solder joint on something else, or a bad transistor. Either way, if your up for it just start a thread on the 6100 in the monitor forum. Testing the transistors is pretty easy with a meter, and finding cold solder joints just takes a nice loupe or magnifying glass.
