I do!

I know this forum leans towards the classics, but I know there's a few JAMMA weirdos like me out there, so I figured I'd share.

Picked up an Astro City last night for dirt cheap, considering it came with Xmen VS SF, Xmen COTA, two CPS2 A boards, extra button and restrictor plates, and in the coin box were a couple of hundred tokens and an Atari classics CD. Had the manual as well, and I picked up a Jpac cheap as well. To top it off, the seller was the nicest guy I've ever interacted with from Craigslist or eBay combined -- he even gave me a ratchet strap when mine malfunctioned. Todd, if you're a member of the board, thank you again! You're awesome to deal with -- hope you find a great replacement when you finish moving.

I'm looking forward to going home tonight and cleaning it up and doing a few little repairs. Pictures to follow.

Here's some pics -- Couldn't attach them to the original post for some reason.

When I got it home, it would play blind (it worked perfectly before transporting)... I spent a few minutes digging around the inside and found some of the wires to the pots under the CP had come loose... Popped those suckers back in, and we were good to go. The image was poor on SDB but I was able to dial it in in short order and have a nice crisp image.

Nice find. I will hopefully be getting a few New Astro City's in the next month or so.

Thanks, I had just given up on finding one locally and was about to ship one in... then I ran across this on CL and about poo'd my pants. Was 90 minutes away, but sure beats paying for shipping.

I wouldnt mind having one, specially the ones where you can turn the monitor easily.

Yeah, I was looking at an Egret II, but I got this for about 1/4 the price it would have been to have an E2 shipped to me, and this had all the extras, too. Couldn't pass it up. :)

Still, quickly rotating monitor.. *drools a little*

Eh, I've been told the rotation on the E2's isn't so easy that you would want to do it when just switching between games. You have to rotate the bezel as well as just the monitor. I think you could leave the bezel off, but then it looks bad.

I think the best, most inexpensive solution is two Astro's, one horizontal, one vertical. You can get two Astro's for the price of one E2, and then be able to play your verticals or horizontals more conveniently as well.

But I do like the look of those E2s! Would not mind having one if the price was right.

I agree -- problem with that setup is, if you're going with MAME or whatever, then you need to have two jpacs/arcade vgas/computers etc... If you're playing real PCBs then this issue is moot.
