Since we have a Used Look I was wondering about the New Look
New Side Art
Fresh Paint Job, Inside And Out, No Blemishes
New CPO
New Monitor
Everything cleaned ,painted as needed
Completetly Refurbished
Does it add any VALUE ?

New out of the factory look all the way. Wanting to have an old beat to piss machine is kinda like wanting a cool muscle car but one that has primered fenders and a diferent colored hood IMO but to each there own.

couldn't have said it better myself.

I prefer a nice clean "new" or "restored" look to an old beat up machine. Hell, I buy old beat up machines for the sole purpose of making them look new again.

I would be very very happy with gently used all original games. If the game is an embarrassment in its current state, then restore it. If it shows use, but only enough to give it some character without being too beat, then leave it alone. My Pac-man cocktail is an example of a game that needed the works!

In the process. Joe's in NJ... and his ex just spent 2 months in the state mental institution (and no, I am not kidding).

Are you talking about me and my ex-wife? It sounds familiar. I'm sad to say that my ex wife is presently living on the street, in homeless shelters and in psych hospitals. She's an alcoholic and prescription drug addict. I have custody of our 4 kids. She signed her rights away so she could spend her life high. It's very depressing really...

That's it exactly for me - I actually prefer to not have straight from the factory look, but I want a clean, in decent shape cab with perfectly functional components.

Sorry to hear that. Joe's wife doesn't even have the "drug" excuse really...

The only positive to the whole mess is that they didn't have kids.

Now back to the topic at hand... (sorry for the intermission guys).

If the 'new' look can be done and be durable, like they originally were, then I'm fine with 'new'.

However, some of the restored stuff is garbage. example: The pacman/ms pac man cabinet artwork that comes as a sticker. That stuff gets dinged WAAAY to easily, and looks like garbage, in my opinion. When stenciled, it looks a whole lot better.

i have no issue with repainting all the metal/etc, though - that always makes a game look so much better.

I prefer the unrestored, slightly beat upon cabs. Probably because I am too lazy, or have no time to retore them:)

I dont give a Lambs Butt, About your fithly piece of Crap, I have a lot of Them also. Want Some. I Like New SWEET,LOOKING GAMES..Now Go Back to the Unestored post.
