In my attempt at research to learn more about Pinball, I have read a TON of stuff praising Pat Lawlor. With me being a total noob, I would say its warranted considering the titles he has created in the Pinball world. I haven't played many of his games, but have seen video, and read a ton about them, and they all seem to be pretty freaking awesome. Considering the amount of awesome games he has put out, it got me thinking....

Is there an Arcade equivalent to him? I'm not sure that there was considering the many different game companies, and the many different people who worked for them.

Anyone have any people they would throw out there in the same kind of way? Miyamoto w/ DK, MB, and Popeye ( I think he was the one behind those three)?

Is this apples to apples, or am I off base?

I was gonna mention Eugene Jarvis, but I only knew that he worked on Robotron and Smash TV. Impressive list there.

Miyamota. Come on man.

I love Pat Lawlor. I like his style. But, Steve Ritchie is up there too.

Eugen Jarvis is interesting because he is both pinball and video.

You got Yu Suzuki from Sega, I would say he qualifies as one of the great video game designers, both arcade and console.

Yeah, I'd add George Gomez to that list as well (although I personally think his video game work is better than his pin stuff).
