Got the opportunity I think to buy a bunch of equipment for a good price. Trying to decide if its worth it to buy. And if so, should I just resell the equipment and keep one or two pieces for home use, or maybe work out a deal with a couple small businesses around my house to place them?

Not trying to get rich doing this, but to earn a couple bucks right now would help with the home situation.

If someone is familiar enough with the business and pricing of machines, could message me, I would give more specifics on the machines and costs. I dont want to put to much out there in case someone tries to beat me to the punch locally.

Also, what sort of split do most people do with the locations? I have heard alot of ranges. None of these machines would be using the locations electricity so it doesnt cost them anything but space.

I don't qualify as knowing alot, but be carefull with some of the gumball machines, some brands are almost worthless assuming you can sell them at all.

Disclosure: I don't have any machines on location except my own Laundromats. If you're looking at Soda or Snack machines I would look for good locations and "market " the machines as a conveince to the customers/employees and not pay any commisions. Locations such as car dealerships, hospitals, rest homes, Best Western etc. Captured audiences are best. Large corporate employee lounges (thick Cosco, but they probably self-vend), Intel, prisons. As far as flipping them, they have to work, well, the better they work and look, the more $$$. They can get vandalized and broken into depending upon location. Metal Guards may be in order for some locations, you may want to avoid these locations as they seem to produce lower results. Sodas sell in summer, snacks sell in winter, chocolates melt with out AC in warmer locations. I'd love to expand into these areas, but my plate is already full. I do an easy $200.00 in sales a month with one snack machine. Soda about the same. Employess from the supermarket next door buy my sodas and snacks during breaks, and ignore their own similar priced soda machines...
