I'm looking for ideas on how to store my ever-growing collection of arcade PCBs and thought I'd throw the question out there to see if anybody has a really good method? I don't want to just pile things up so they're tough to find and can get damaged, and boxes that are just right are seldom found.

One idea I've been pondering is building some racks with vertical slots to hold things.

I am starting a small backup board collection.. probably have about
12-13 boards so far..

I use the medium and large flat rate boxes (game board boxes) from the
post office. Put the board in antistatic bag, wrap in bubble wrap and pop
in the box. They stack up nice on a shelf and easy to label.

If you are swaping boards all the time, I'd build a rack as you mentioned
or just mount them in a cabinet and use a multijamma switcher.

+1. I stand the boxes on their sides vertically in a bookcase. I had the bookcase and the post office gives me the boxes for free. Yes, I am that cheap.
