Who has seen one of these before, Vanguard Cocktail

In the 10 years that i have dealt games, this is the first one that i have ever came across. I hate that it is in such bad shape. This is one of those games that im actually going to probably lose money on. But in my heart i had no choice, i had to bring it back to life, even if it is a sad life.

Worst part is that i actualy really like Vanguard. I had one in my personal collection for a long time. But i just cant bring myself to keep this.

So, who has seen one before?

Its dedicated, silk screened glass with vanguard facing each way, control panels are not the same as one side has player 1 and 2 info. even has a centuri coin door. Plus i have the game, so ive seen it in person.

The sticker on the coin door says Cinematronics.

Re:

Oh ok, I think I overlooked that. It first kinda reminded me of an Atari Football or something.

your right, says cinematronics which it was licensed for

That doesn't look original, but I could be wrong...

I've never seen the cocktail version before, but I would love to have it! I'm still killing myself for not picking up that $125 Vanguard upright.

Troy, is there any difference you can see in the boardset for supporting CT mode?

Just curious if it was as simple as grounding an input for flipping the screen, or if they added a circuit since there weren't many cocktails made.

A friend of mine had one that he picked up from No Limit in St Charles, IL many years ago. It had the base, though it was badly chipped up (flimsy partical board and leg levelers not high enough from previous owner). I remember thinking Cinematronics was weird but the flyer completed that puzzle piece. A few years later he ended up trading it to some guy in Arlighton Heights, IL area for a Galaga caberet (but this is not the one he traded; his was much better shape).

The board is the same, I actually bought a vanguard board from Dick Millikan andonly required a dip switch change.
