Who has paid more to ship a game than what they bought the game for?

About 5 years ago I sold a RoadBlasters upright with a monitor issue for just over $100. The buyer paid another $90 to have it delivered to Dave for a $75 crate job and dropped of at a Fedex terminal for delivery. Dave has a 60% discount with Fedex and the buyer informed me that the shipping bill was over $600. So when it was all said and done he paid over $800 for a non-working RoadBlasters, but was still happy to have it, go figure.

That was the only time I have ever shipped a game and wont do it again unless the buyer makes all the arrangements.

Years ago (late '90s) when I used to ship games, I did this a lot.

The worst one I can remember was my Target Zero EM game. If you've seen this you know how big it is.

Paid 50.00 for the game, paid 400.00 to ship it. Crazy I know, but I've still not seen another one in comparable shape.

same game same prices, too funny

shipping

If I ever get games shipped I always try to find a person with 2 machines that way it cuts down the cost, at least from NAVL it does. They used to have a 2 for 1 deal but i'm sure thats long gone.

I'd probably end up paying more for shipping if I ever found a Klax mini to buy..

I had one of those once, and sold it for 100 bucks! It was working too, I think I put it on ebay and that's all it brought. I should have just kept it, it was a really, really cool cabinet.

Actually pretty common I would imagine these days...with vids being pretty cheap..I try to weigh the rarity of the game and condition to justify the shipping...of course it still makes bad financial sense..but anyone in this hobby being a collector knows..ain't none of us going to make money on our collections compared to the time and money you put into them..so spend it if you have it...you can't take it with you I always say..:D
