Always wanted one and saw one listed for a decent price. It's a generic so it just says cold drinks or whatever which I'm fine with, but I asked what temp the drinks were and he said 59. Is that a faulty machine or do some only get that cold? In my house the 60s is room temp! I checked one in my fridge and it was like 32.5 and tastes perfect. Have you guys checked your temp? If so what is it? I'm assuming the guy has it turned down as low as it will go so would you guess there is trouble with the machine? Thanks for any help you can give on this.

34 degrees

If the machine is functioning correct it should be able to go as low as 34 degrees, they have a thermostat that is programmable either digitally or manually depending on the machine I have both types. The good news is even if you needed a whole new deck(refrigeration unit) they are only around 200.00 for a modern machine like the generic cold drinks usually are. so if the machine is 200.00 or less it could still be an alright deal. I wouldn't pay more anyway as you can get a nice pepsi or coke machine for 400.00 working in these parts all day long.

Yeah I passed on that one, picked up a Dixie-narco 6 flavor select that had a new compressor installed not long ago. One of the chutes is broke though, they put flimsy water bottles in and it jammed it. I'm guessing they broke something at the bottom where it dispenses. I'm in the process of cleaning it up looks like 20 years of dirt in it. Any recommendation on where to go for the button signs? This uses the smaller ones a little over 3 inches wide. I saw some bundles on eBay with random stuff but would like to get some specific ones.

Those are so easy to get, if you want them professional buy them on-line or you can print your own they are easy to make.

Thanks for te advice. I'll try printing them first then. Do you have any sites you would recommend where they are preformatted the right size? I got a friend that works at Pepsi that I'm going to hit up but for beer etc. I'm definitely gonna have to make my own. thanks

I have a dixie narco 6 selection pepsi machine from the early 80's. I get all my parts from Captial vending. They always treated me good. http://208.84.154.156/cart.php?target=category&category_id=253 Find the correct size inserts you need, than click the details and you will see all the flavors they have. Nice thing is, the out of product light hole is already punched in the insert so it lines up perfect everytime

Fixed my broken slot. The motor was shot so I got one off eBay, tested it and still no go. I started looking at the part that turns that holds the drinks and noticed it could not turn all the way around. The part was a little warped so I beat the crap out of it with a hammer and now it's perfect! :) while I had it opened I started testing the lights because one wouldn't come on. I followed the wiring diagram and found a wire that got pinched/cut. I twisted it off and now both lights work. I was able to make one sign based off some google images but I'm still looking for some different mountain dew flavors and beer. If anybody has a image for some of these let me know.
