Who has a Bally 6803 machine that uses the keypad?

Was that the same Bally keypad used on the slot machines?
I had one till i closed shop. Think i sold keypad for about 150

Similar but not the same.

I don't actually need one. I'm looking for a couple of people to test a new product. This is the keypad I'm talking about:

Theose things are horrible!!!! My buddy has one on his Motordome.

Well... your buddy just might be in luck :)

I've been developing a keypad replacement with a USB interface. You plug it into your machine and connect it to a computer. Then you can make all of your adjustments in a nice menu and press a button. I mentioned this a long time ago but just recently started working on it again and got the hardware finished.

I have the hardware built and tested. I just need to start writing the menus for each game. I'm looking for some people to do some testing.

No one?

Here's the list of games that use the keypad:

Eight Ball Champ
Beat the Clock
Motordome
Lady Luck
Motordome
Black Belt
Special Force
Strange Science
City Slicker
Hardbody
Party Animal
Heavy Metal Meltdown
Dungeons & Dragons

Out of all those on that list that one is my favorite.....Lindsey I think my buddy bought one on ebay awhile back but I'll see if wants one....

Yeah, its a pretty under rated pin in my opinion. Its challenging and that million point shot, wow! Not to mention the art work is just fantastic on it!

I think it's underrated inmho because the rulesheet is god-aweful! Yeah mystical millions is awesome; love that chime effect after you get it!!! You forgot about the cool music along with that artwork!

I have one of those in my Party Animal, and my friend has one in his Black Belt. I never had a problem with it though, easy enough to use with the menus in the game. What problems are other people having with it?

The biggest problem is that they're missing from the game a lot of the time. It's also kind of a pain to work with even with the manual in front of you. A lot of people don't have the manual. That's not a problem on the later games that actually tell you what each adjustment is for but the earlier games don't do that.

I could see it being annoying if the keypad was missing, but it's a super simple key matrix, the layout of which is readily available in the manual or online. You could build one in no time.

But yeah, both of these games (Party Animal, Black Belt) have usable menus as-is, and both of them still had the keypad inside, so no real complaints.

You could... and I could... but not everyone could. I've actually built one. It's not the least painful thing I've ever built. Definitely not what I would call "no time".

Building one with a USB interface and menu system takes a little longer ;)

It's definitely not the most painful thing in the work but I'm hoping to make it painless.

Not to hijack Lindsey's thread but I always wanted to know how Black Belt is as far as fun factor??

I have a 1987 City Slicker.....FYI only 300 were made..and it is for sale. And I never did like that KEY pad..had so few on route and it took longer to retrieve the meter readings at collection time.
