I got a PM about one available in Michigan, I quickly responded but it was already sold.

Who got it????

I was also in the process of getting it. It has some issues and the $2000 price seemed a little high based on it's condition. I asked for additional pictures and the guy stopped emailing me. He never contacted me telling me it was sold.

There is a second one for sale that is in better condition and a little cheaper that I have been trying to work out a deal on.

I saw the post for the one on Tuesdays pinball classified in Michigan and saw it was only 1000. I did get an email back it was sold at 10am. Is this the one your talking about?

Yup, that's the one! I sent an e-mail around 9am and heard back that it was already sold then.

I just wonder if it was anyone on here who got it!

Yeah, that was the one I inquired about... to have a Varkon as a first game would have been amazing... :001_scry:

I wonder why they moved this????? It was an inquiry, not a trade or a for sale??

You want Varkon as your first game? Have you actually played a Varkon before? Not really a great game and gets old quickly. The collectors who have a large collection want it because it's a rare game and just different.

Someone emailed me from MI saying that they had one and gave me some pictures of it. They wanted $2000 for it. Looking at the pictures it had some CPO wear and the cabinet was beat up.

varkon is a cool, super unique game .... do you remember if your varkon came from a costa mesa, ca auction?? i think i remember seeing one there for sale once, back when i had no idea what the hell it was.

great website by the way :)

I've had mine for 6 or 7 years. It's a fun low ruleset game. Prices like these are awesome though. When I got mine, they were $3K-$4K.

I have played Varkon the last 3 years at CAX and fell in love with the game, I like the gameplay and absolutely love the sound effects :)

I will be getting a multi-cocktail this summer as another member is building one for me, but a Varkon is my ultimate grail game. Part of it is because I just like the game, and the other part is because it is so rare as well. I honestly could listen to the sound it makes when the ball launches all day... (yes, I am admittedly weird!)

Thanks for the feedback. All I remember was it was a Super Auctions auction and it was in conjunction with eBay. It was relatively early in the auction I think (if that says anything). I was really surprised that it seemed like no one there bid on it. They did a great job of packing and shipping as well. I took video of unpacking and moving it in the house. I take video of everything.

The GI had a broken wire and I don't remember much else wrong (other than the fact that to add light to the playfield, they put a socket and 60w bulb in there - instead of soldering one wire). It shopped in 3-4 hours.
