I did :)

Might have paid a little too much ( $500 with a presumed dead monitor -plays blind) but oh well. It's in nice shape. Snagged a complete but dead Asteroids too with a really nice control panel in the same trip. Asteroids has a dead monitor and something wrong in the transformer assy, haven't had time to get into yet.

Two questions about Star Wars. First, is about the seat that came with the Star Wars ( you can see it in the background of the Asteroids pic). I haven't seen any of those before. Was that an option on the upright ? I also find it odd that there is no plexi or glass over the CRT. Is that the way it's supposed to be ?

For some reason, your pics aren't showing up for me, but I assume the seat you're referring to is the Namco seat. This was not an option from Sega; Namco had these built for use in their arcades. It is a pretty sweet add-on as it has a sub-woofer in it which does add considerably to the cab. As for the monitor, ther is no plexi for it as Sega used the same monitor bezel as they use in their Japanese driving cabinets. I'm not sure what the logic was there, but I think it was flawed as games typically get abused much more over here. My SWT was damaged by some punk who scratched his initial in the tube, for instance.

Anyway, if all that is wrong with it is a dead monitor, I think you got a great deal.
