Post was taken down this morning. Seller replied telling me it was sold. Nice looking machine for sure! Anyone here get it?

Hmmm... Who's the Atari vector fanatic in the area? <grin>

Yes, I picked it up last night. Got it for $100. Decent shape - should restore nicely. Plays blind.

I gave it a quick cleaning and vacuuming when I got it home. Found two quarters in the bottom, and an old mouse nest in the wooden enclosure below the coin bucket.

(I'd post pics, but they're at home and I'm at work.)

You bastage Alan! That's two that you got that I was interested in! How's the CP on it? Looks pretty good from the picture. At least the seller was nice on following-up with courtesy calls and an email!

You needed a second Asteroids Deluxe cabaret? ;-)

Seller was a nice guy. Said that he had traded a woodburning stove for the game years ago and had the game at his cabin until it stopped working.

The overlay should clean up nicely with some magic eraser treatment. It's cracked along the top bend. It must have cracked and deteriorated along the bottom bend because somebody trimmed the overlay off clean just below the artwork, and then sloppily painted the exposed metal black. I'll have to clean up and repaint that area.

AFAIK, no one has ever done a repro overlay for the cabaret Ast Dlx.

I know. Been trying to see when Rich, or someone would have time to do a small run. He said that possiby there may be the original films to do itr, if not he'd need to get some scans to vectorize them. I would have vectorized mine if I still had my sign shop business, but that's been long- gone for a few years now.
I located another CP thanks to Steve, SRW, and had the guy part with it from his ad. They all are pretty much crinkled up toast a the bend. Maybe someday someone will do another run. I'd put some cash down for 2 of them myself!

Here are two pics.
