I have a PP2 that I bought from a local over 3 years ago. It had a switcher hacked in, hanging speaker wire joined into the harness with tape as a past attempt to distribute power to the test points, and a monitor in need of a cap kit..but it worked. It never actually made it to the house. Just as far as the garage before I moved. Last time I played it was when I ran it off a generator so I could put a little load on it as I ran it out of fuel before I moved. In the last three years it was moved to the new house and put in the garage, moved to the basement when I had some issues in the garage, moved back to the garage, and then moved probably 10 times around the building.

So...I bring it in tonight to start to clean it up. I plug it in for grins, BINGO...hear the crash sound at boot and I'm playing PP2..... I was actually shocked. At least I know the board still works...now for how long is anyone's guess...I mean...it is a PP.

I have gone through them before. Edge connector rebuilds, power "distribution", battery acid damage, ARII rebuilds, and of course monitors. I have never heard of the supertechnoboy video though. Will look it up and and check it out.

Yeah that video took a dead $20 PP to life. Now working on cleaning up Ron connections because I am having some graphics issues with near and far cars.

I had a little impromptu party last weekend and everyone wanted to play the cockpit. Ran great all night. Of course it has a switcher but anytime you turn on a PP you worry and even more so when you run it for extended periods. I now have a working PP board and two PPII boards so hopefully I'll be good until the FPGA board or whatever it is called.
