Does anyone here like to collect boards ? I'm thinking of getting a Jamma cab so I can get a bunch of boards , build adapters and switch them in and out .

I have quite a few boards. I was planning the same thing as you but over time I have decided to have just a few themed multis. Such as a Mortal Kombat multi, a Street Fighter multi, a Pac multi, etc.

I did. Here's a pic of my Jamma closet, which I don't have anymore. I miss playing them. A Doulbe Dragon cab is a great Jamma cab with the drawer in the botton front and the rotatable monitor and 2 player set up. To see a list of all the games I could play in it go here http://www.brentradio.com/AllGamesList.htm

I collect boards in hopes of having time to fix them one day. :p

Mostly classics, but few rare titles.

I started off collection JAMMA boards for my cabinet, but lately I just want to get 8 ones I really like for my MultiJAMMA, and then get rid of the rest.

I think everyone should have a Jamma cab. The boards are cheap and for most of the games no CP modification is necessary. I have a few boards that I like to swap games in and out of and one of my projects is to set up my Lethal Enforcers as a multi board cab running, LE, Point Blank and whatever shooting games I get my hands on.

I have many boards, all stashed away in boxes.
I have two jamma cabs as well.
I sometimes can't resist the sweet deals on boards/pcb's that i just have to buy.

Know what's funny when you collect boards: Sooner or later you end up with quite a few Gals Panic boards.
You just don't know how you got them but they just kind a come along with the rest and sneak in your collection.
Maybe it's all just a bigger plan of aliens planting devices (Gals Panic boards) all over the world to one day just take control.

I had to finally sell my Gals Panic board. I hated having to clean my control panel after each game...

The title should be "Who's bogarting/Whording boards that could be used to revive/restore someones beloved machine.

I would assume Spaeths collection mainly consists of unknown condition boards or needing to be fixed status so I won't count him as a Whorder.

Yes Whorder with a capital W

That was a nice collection there , why did you sell them ?

From what I can tell by Mark's posts, he has games all over the eastern part of the country...

I probably have about 250 and thought that was too much.

A thousand+, why so many?

Why not... I enjoy fixing them. Buy dead... fix... put them on a shelf or in a box... sooner or later I or someone else will need them.

I play on inventorying after I move.
