Just got a MK2 cab yesterday and it is missing "blue" on the test screens. Most people have told me its either on the chassis or tube itself. This game is all original and looks to never have been touched, so want it to get a cap kit no matter what. Looking for someone who can do this? Thanks in advance!

Have you followed the hantarex polo flow chart? That should outline what you need to know in how to fix your issue (often times). I have had a loose wire cause color loss with these because of the way the wires are put into the connectors. Check your blue wire and make sure it has continuity from your edge connector to your monitor chassis, with power off of course!

I have not. Dont have the flow chart handy. I can check that and see. I still would like to have a cap kit done on it either way though

I can help you with the cap kit, but encourage you to try on your own...it's the only way you'll learn :). But to some it's too much of a hassle. The flow chart can be found here:

I would guess it's a wiring issue or transistor issue. But at least it's working!

Ya, it works. Just no blue! I have been in this hobby for 8 years now, and have learned to just leave anything to do with electronics to the professionals! I have screwed up too much stuff to want to do that anymore. I have learned enough to diagnose, take voltages, check power, etc. But when it comes to cap kits, pcb repair, i leave that alone!

Fair enough :) well if you want to send it to me, I'd be more than happy to take a look at it. Assuming you know how to properly discharge the monitor, you could just send me the chassis to test here. Or you could try and find someone local to help you out
