Who are our best parts packers here?

My fave packing job ever came from an op off of eBay. I bought a wide body lockdown bar for my SI pin and he used stuffed animals as the packing materiel. I had no idea WTF was going on when I opened it and just saw fur. I thought there was a dead squirrel in there.

A couple of times in the past when I was shipping a relatively large item I used pillows and cushions from couches I found on the curb that I set aside and hoarded for just such a purpose... I actually cut the pillows open and stuff the part halfway inside two different pillows so it just look like one giant pillow when the person got to that level of the packaging

I got all my webkinz on all my arcades. That'd genuinely make my day if someone did that for a package. Very cool seller to do that

I'm lucky because I own a small shipping company that ships tiny collectables, artwork, books, comic books so I pretty much have everything I need. IN all of the deals I have done here and elsewhere that stuffy pack job was by far the funniest. .

So... you stuffed someone's parts into a used mystery pillow that was used for God knows what, and then left on the curb.

Epic.

That is an accurate summary sir!

Actually I think once or twice I bought giant pillows at Goodwill for a couple bucks and also use them for the same purposes. Goodwill may have even cleaned them. Great packing material and cheaper than bubble wrap.

The most memorable pack job was from an EBay purchase many years ago. I won the auction for a pcb, a glass marquee, and another part. When the box arrived I knew there was a problem as I could hear pieces inside moving around. When I opened the package I found the board, part, and a shattered marquee all separated by one piece of crumpled newspaper. The "best" part was the marquee would not have even fit in the box in one piece! lol. Fortunately I only needed the pcb.
On the flip side… I have received numerous immaculately packed items from andrewb.
