Just picked this up from Vongoosewink. It's an awesome machine but is DOA and the logic/power was home to a nest of mice who decided to use it as their toilet. Was wondering of anyone had schematics, spare boards or something else for this machine.

Possibly some advice for removing the corrosion?

I've read lots of guys put PCBs in the dishwasher, but that's out of the question for rat crap.

Hope you can get this big fella' going!

Yeah... there's rocks and a bunch of nasty on there. I've never seen a bridge rectifier where the metal bits on it were blue! I can barely make out the traces. I really hope this PCB isn't mud or the ROMS on it aren't toasted. Otherwise I'm going to have to gut it and recreate it.

Cheers,

Started the process. Not sure if this is going to make it but it seems like the mouse fudge is coming off. I'll need someone with a rom burner soon to help me identify and hopefully extract the data and duplicate these roms on here.

Wow. Good luck with that. If you can't find schematics, you can probably draw them yourself, it doesn't look too complicated.

I hope you can restore it - I love when things are brought back. And I kinda like the gorilla.

How were the boards originally mounted within the cab? Just screwed directly into the wood?

Shouldn't be too hard to produce new ones. Not cheap, due to the small volume, but not abusively expensive either. If you're able to pull the ROM data, or get it from another source, there's always options.

Have you tried contacting the manufacturer at all to see if they may still have parts or the ROM's available?

They were just mounted in there. The boards are actually cleaning up nicely. The previous owner contacted Whittaker and they said they have no information other than that pot they use for the actual grip testing is still in stock for replacement. Other than that, no schematics or anything else. I'm hoping that when I get my ROM reader/burner this week I can salvage the ROM information and make dupes and finish testing all the components and then put it all back together and see what happens. With the roms backed up I can probably get the rest going.
