Hi!

I have a White Water with a problem.

When turned on, only 6 of the 20 lamps in the topper is lit....after
the machine has booted none of them is lit. Also, they don't light up
in flasher test.

In the small PCB both LED's are lit.

Any ideas what this could be?

Thanks!

Nicholas

Do you have the correct bulbs in the topper? Sometimes you find that someone will put 555's up there which burn out in short order...

When I turn on WH2O, none of the topper lights are on until they all start flashing.

Both leds are on. Led1 seems in indicate 16vac while led2 indicates 12v dc.

Solenoids 27 and 28 drive the light parade. I would check those. If they are good, something is wrong with your chase light board.

I'd try starting the pin with only one of the chaser light boards connected, one at a time, just to see if the behavior changes. Perhaps you have some short in one of them.

But honestly, the behavior you describe is pretty odd and it makes me think something is wrong with the chaser pcb. Best to check those solenoids first, however, just to eliminate the possibility.

Thanks! I'll get to it when I get home.

However, should there be more than one chaser board?? I think there's
only one in my machine?

Two chaser lamp boards on the top of the backbox. These each only have bulbs installed.

One chaser PCB board in the backbox (upper left side from players PoV). This as all sorts of circuit stuff.

I was suggesting you disconnect the chaser lamp boards on top of the backbox one at a time.

I should look at the manual and see what the official names are, but I hope it's clear now.
