A local has offered a trade... either his High Speed or his Party Zone for my Whirlwind.

Opinions?

I would keep the Whirlwind

PZ that bad, eh? I've never played. WW is OK... though over rated IMHO... it's fun, but I actually enjoy playing Xenon better (strange, eh?)...

If that's the case then you should just go check out the other pins and see if you like either of them. You could always work a trade plus cash deal.

I'm sure people like or love HS but honestly that game is sooooo ungodly lame in my personal opinion. Never played Party Zone but I've made it quite clear I think Whirlwind is just not my cup of tea (I do own one). I would say follow Lindsey's advice and go play the pins and form your own opinion. As far as price goes, not sure what condition your machine so no idea if a straight across trade is reasonable.

I own both Whirlwind and Party Zone. I do not understand why Party Zone does not get much love, because I enjoy the game as much as Whirlwind. My suggestion would be to play it and make your own decision.

A neighbor of mine owns High Speed and he'd love it if I traded him my Whirlwind...WW has much more "going on" with the ramps etc. I told him he'd be better off selling his HS to someone and buying a WW himself ;)

I would probably keep the WW too but might as well go play the others and see what you think. Especially given that WW just isn't doing it for ya...

No way would I do either trade. I sold my Whirlwind, but that was so I could buy a Fathom. :D

Keep it!

Keep the Whirl Wind..
Loved that game in the local Cade. Would sit for 30 min or more on 1 credit, then
rack up a few more in free credits from it..
Never got bored with the spinners always changing up the game mid way through!!

Well, I am scheduling a time this weekend to go play The Party Zone...

...if I like it I may trade. WW is just "OK" in my book. I've put about twice as many credits in to my Xenon in the last few months though... and I even find myself gravitating toward Secret Service before WW for some reason. Don't get me wrong... it's a fun pin... just not as fun as I'd have expected it to be with such a strong following...

That's the problem with pinball hype... it ruins so many games. I will never appreciate many of the A-list titles as much as I could, because my expectations were so high due to all the hype I'd read BEFORE playing them. Medieval Madness is the perfect example. I have never been able to get into that game because at the time I first played one, people were talking about how they were worth $10,000 and were God's gift to Pinball. So it always disappoints me. If I'd just found it on a route on my own, I might have really liked it.

Party Zone's pretty fun I think, it's been a few years since I've played WW, but if you're looking for something different, Party Zone is different for sure, lol. HS is known by more than PZ, but I love the artwork and attractions of PZ. If it's in good shape, grab it. And it plays a midi version of Pinball Wizard, so how can you go wrong?
