I managed to break my Whirlwind Lift Ramp as I was shopping the machine today... wonderful. It was brittle as hell evidently because all it took was a slight bump and it broke right where the bracket meets the ramp.

Can anyone suggest a source for a new one?

I don't see the lift ramp there? I do see a 4-piece set that is out of stock... but that is for the whole ramp, etc... I need just the lift ramp part.

Thanks though.

Anyone order anything from either of these companies? I tried ordering from the first but I get a "bogus secure page" type warning...

Hey Frizz ya know what I'd suggest? Go down to Home Depot and they sell an Epoxy kit. Two tubes that look like over-sized syringes. The stuff is hard as nails. Mine broke in the exact same spot. Also an option for places on the PF that have gouged areas from ball kick out.

How long does that stuff take to dry and does it really work? Any suggestions on how to apply it?

Applying it - anything really. Tongue depressor/popsickle stick - kids paint brush. Just not your fingers lol. When cured it'll be harder than Johnson will ever be.

Welp... my first attempt at repair looked great.... but about 8 balls up the ramp later it broke. I am trying attempt 2 right now...

...but I've encountered another issue. If a ball zips down the right cellar door it's fine... but if it just falls down or lightly drops down it gets stuck in there. What is strange is that I didn't DO anything really with the cellar. My guess is it's getting stuck on the switch or something... any suggestions? That cellar looks like it's a bitch to get in to to mess with...

Wow - that's unreal. That epoxy should be permanent. Ensure you clean the applicable area with alcohol to remove any wax or other remnants. Hell you might even take a razor blaze and drag it along the area you're applying epoxy to help clean it up and help with adherence. You did buy the plastic epoxy version right? How long had it been setup for?

As far as the left door - sounds like either the switch needs adjusting or maybe a piece of crap in there you aren't seeing. Tilt your table up, stick a finger down in that ball rail area and see if you can fell anything loose floating around.

When I fixed one of these with epoxy, it also rebroke. I ended up using another piece of plastic as a bridge over the crack (even though there wasn't much on the lift side) and it held up well after that.

If the ball gets stuck in a crack after the repair, you can always fill it with some clear sandable epoxy and smooth it out...

The first epoxy job seemed "rubbery"... I am guessing there wasn't enough of the yellow liquid (which seems to be the hardner). This time I made sure exactly equal portions were mixed and the bond seems much harder.

The cellar is what worries me now. I REALLY don't wanna have to pull that bad boy off the underside of the playfield.
