Whirlwind. Launches 2 balls when lock is activated. HELP!

So my Whirlwind...Weird thing going on. When I get one ball locked, one ball gets kicked into the shooter/plunger trough and then click, another one! WTF!! Two balls sitting waiting for the plunger.

I did this a couple times and every time a ball gets locked, it kicks two into the plunger trough.

Every time other than that, just one...WTF???!!

Check your through switches and do you have the correct number of balls in the game?

Check the switch in the shooter lane. Check it by rolling a ball over it in test mode.

Be sure the kicker that kicks the ball from the trough to the shooter lane isn't nicking the last switch in the trough when it kicks.

LTG :)

Cause the trough isn't "seeing" your ball in there because on or more switch isn't working. So it kicks a ball out, doesn't "see" one in the trough, so it kicks again.

Also check the shooter lane switch..

WTF.

Checked the trough switches the shooter lane switch and all 3 switches in the outlane (lock lane).

All checked out fine.

Still, ONLY when the ball is locked, the trough shoots out two balls.

So effing frustrating@!!!

any chance its a software issue?

Did you test the switches with the ball or your hand?

Do you maybe have some divots in the trough so that balls aren't resting in the proper spot?

Tested them with a ball...

Also, even if there were divots, why would it only effect the switches when one ball is locked?
Seems like logic dictates that either its a software issue (when going to launch and balls in trough = 2 then...)?

OR there is something with the trough that happens during launch and there are only two balls there...but not sure what that would be

Ugh. Frustrating. Appreciate the ideas though...Keep them coming.

Put it in switch level test with 3 balls in the through. You should see 3 switches activated.
If all 3 switches are registering try wiggling the wires on all 3 switches. I would really look there first. Also do the same with the shooter lane switch.
