I got my Whirlwind topper today and I was trying to install it but the front of the fan catching the front vent of the topper. I can't get it flush with the screw holes. The metal bracket kinda has a slope to it is it suppose to be like this? Should I take the bracket out and pound it flat with a hammer? I know I got to have this worked out so the fan doesn't catch the vents on the topper and plus so you can feel the power of the wind. If I bend it to much won't be able to feel the wind. Any info or advice on this?

I looked at mine. I think that is the right bracket, but it is bent upwards. Mine slants forward at the angle of the lower portion, no curved bend upwards. Hope that makes sense.

Thank you. I'm starting to think something must of hit this thing pretty hard while moving or something. There was a chunk of the old topper under one of the screws. So thinking they hit it so hard that maybe the fan bracket bent a bit.

Boy I feel like an idiot. Put the decals on the wrong side. So I was trying to put it on backwords. Guess I'll order a new set of decals and just have em on both sides. Oh well opps. Thanks for the help Stangbat.
