Which would you choose...Help !

Nope your no.
the tag line was my suggestion :D

B for the win for sure the other one is too plain and isnt as reconizeble as anything
maybe through a distressed look on it to give it an "aged" effect

haha! yh, Good 'ol Rich came up with that for me, thanks man :)
Yh, great feedback guys thanks.

I said A because I don't want to see Namco coming after you. I've heard they can be be difficult. Have you already contacted them as a pre-emptive measure? Isn't Stern supposed to be pretty cool about stuff? Maybe they'd hook you up with Berzerk???

any better ?

My vote for B also, the first picture for people that might not know looks like a door open with light? How about a shot with you playing a game (screen shot of the arcade game)and blurring that a little?

I like the second one best.
If you intend on regular type non nerds to see your movie I would go with B

I like the Pac one better, but how about make the gamer younger? 12 or 13? I was 7 in 82 so it would speak to me more.

Also this is the first I heard of this movie, is there a thread about it?

I think the lightened version of B is a bit too washed out. I like the first iteration of version "B" the most of those three :)

Not to make it more complicated, but maybe try having the light emanating from a monitor behind the figure instead of the marquee....or better yet an entire gameroom behind the figure as if he's walking in taking it all in with light emanating from all of the games instead(this option might make it more ambiguous by washing out the arcades in light if that is a concern).

Some feedback (mostly from my wife) ..
- The first one isn't recognizable enough, definitely need a marquee of some sort on there (otherwise it looks like he's going through a door to Heaven or something)

- Washed out version of the second one is slightly preferable. Still run the risk of lawsuits, and you lose some of the colors that make it recognizable. Maybe blur it out instead? Some amount of white glow is good though since it ties into the glow on the rest of the poster.

- Possibly work the monitor picture and/or glow in addition to the marquee, so you don't need as much detail on the marquee (and can e.g. blur it even more)

Just to throw some positives in, it's definitely a cool shot and (as said before) that's a great tagline

Go with B. What is Namco going to do anyway? If anything its free advertising. You're going to need a disclosure at the end of the film anyway, right? If this were a movie about collecting cars, you wouldn't be afraid to put a nice Mustang on the poster.

What do I know though...I'm not a lawyer by any means.

I'd go with B, but I like the first version of it better. If you're worried about Namco you could always switch it to Donkey Kong.

Are you kidding? Nintendo is even more anal about their properties than Namco.

Artistically, I like the washed out version of B, BUT...be safe, Dave. Use something generic on that marquee or get permission from a company before using their property. Personal use is one thing...putting it on something that is going to be sold is another.

B without the wash out. You might want to consider "ARCADE" for the title? Instead of a specific game then no one will be coming after you for copyrights infringement......
