which would you choose $1600

the Shadow (might be under $2k, not sure),

great pin, not a sleeper anymore though, this pin has seen a sharp rise in popularity and price over the las yr or two, used to be you could get one under a grand , now your lucky to find one under 1500, ive seem them at 2g more and more(doesnt mean they sold but...)

yeah i plan get southpark cuz it s also a killer deal but its sold before i could reach out and it s 3 hours drive while terminator 3 only 20 mins drive and 1500.. im happy what i got !! now i have to re orgizanize the gamroom

Nice score on the T3. I'd go for one at that price. It is far more than an "upgraded T2." Much more interesting game with more modes, and several tight ramp/lane shots with timers. I like the metal ramps and the rpg is actually a cool mode. Played T3 a few times this weekend--very fun.

As for South park, think twice before picking one up. Funny show but the pin is shallow and boring, and will get old very quick imo. (I get tired of it after playing just a game or 2 on location!)

I had decided to go for Terminator 3 cuz i alway loved Terminator series and it s newer model.

They wanted it for 2000 but I had offered $1500 cuz RGP rotary is not working (will need fix) and there is minor fixing.. Nothing Major.

He had accept my offer of $1500.

It s nice pin =D

I appreciate all feedback made here... so thank you KLOVERS!!!

If you look closely, you can see my fingerprints on the front there. :p

I have owned all these games and the Dirty Harry was the hardest to resell. I sold it for $1000 and it was pretty nice. The guy who bought it from me re-sold it back to me a year later for $800. After shopping it out I got $1100 for it.

Whirlwind - A great game. If it has the "Diamond Plate" playfield in it then it's most likely worth the $1600. Most Whirlwinds have the lacquer sys11 playfield in it and most get worn out quickly. They are making a reproduction playfield next year. A Whirlwind without the DP playfield version is priced in the $1000-$1200 range.

T2 - Usually a $1000-$1200 game if decent. Worn ones sell for $700-$800.

Perfect example of geography for pin prices. Here is what is currently on craigslist in Omaha / Council bluffs.

Bally creature from the black lagoon - $3500
Terminator 3 - $2400
Demolition man - $2350
Johnny Mnemonic - $1600
Demolition man - $2000
Jurassic park - $1950
Twister - $1950

Indeed. I was lucky to get that price. It runs 2000+ on Terminator 3. There is one who try to sell for 2,800 here in bay area.

Look at his price. Thats Pin Dealership prices. I got advantage to get that price because that person who sold to me needed space NOW.. not tomorrow. I CIFed him (Cash in Face). He took it.

I was about accept if he decline and demand 1700 or 1800.. I may would have take it anyway. It was nice score.

On other hand im suckered on other games. World goes around and it goes around!

wd=2500,dw=2500,jm=13-1500,wcs=15-1700,hs2=1200,dm=1200+(this one has gone up recently), ft=2k-2500, great titles for sure but outside rockford ill they are more expensive!

GEOGRAPHY

btw, if you see a doctor who for 1200 let me know, ill drive to ill and get it

I owned a near mint Who Dunnit and bought it for 1300. I just bought a WCS for 1000. A HUO Doctor Who just sold 2 hours south of here for 1450 about a month ago. I sold a super nice FT (and got more than I paid) at 1800 about two years ago. Get a grip on the insults.

geography has a great deal to do with pricing i have noticed. a whirlwind where i am goes for $1,600-$2,400 t-2 $1,400 to $2,000. you never see dirty harry for sale around here but there is one on route near by.i talked to the op about 6-7 months ago and he said he would shop it out and sell it for $2,000 im about 90 min north of where the 3 pins for sale are. nice score on the t3 by the way.

Drive to Denver.

Currently:

Creech 2900
Junkyard 2400
Hook 1450
Demo man 1350

Not exactly smokin deals except the Creech is pretty good, but these pin prices are much lower than some of you guys have been seeing in your area.

Oh and South Park sucks bad. Like the show, but the pin is awful.

Nice score on the T3... I completely forgot about that game. I'll have to add it to my list of potential next machines..... I had a T2 for a while.... its been years since I've played a T3.

If those are the prices you're seeing them actuall sell for then I'd say you're just in a price inflated area. Generally they aren't that high.

You can't judge anything from CL asking prices. People can post any asking price they want to, it doesn't mean anything. There are people who consistently price well above market value just in case someone decides they have to have one.

congrats those are games i would buy at those prices, they just dont exist here in texas, so i dont need to get a grip, i have a good grasp on the market here

Less GEOGRAPHY and more you're a gullible douche if you think those pins are worth the prices you posted.

These are all good suggestions in your price range. I don't think any of the original posted games (T2, DH, WW) are quite worth $1600 unless, maybe, it was immaculate. I also don't believe in the cliched/simplistic approach of "buy a top 10 machine."......

I also like a few other games in the under-$2k range, like Starship Troopers, the Shadow (might be under $2k, not sure), Johnny Mnemonic ( very fast game), Judge Dredd (widebody). And I like many of the Data East games like Tommy, WWF Royal Rumble, Jurassic Park, Last Action Hero...

Stop giving out my top 5 machines out too, starship troopers #1, johnny #2, judge #3, .... Own Last action hero and will never sell that machine! Love other data east ones like maverick, star wars. Also sega made fine other hidden gems imo.

now there is an insult

not everyone is like you, it isnt about what i think they are worth, i dont own them for a reason, because i WONT pay those prices

you completely miss the point

id pay $1,600 for a ww in good shap in a heartbeat. it would de in my house right now if 3i
had the cash. i already spent me allowance for a while on the last 2 pins i got.

Hopefully you guys are right on the craigslist postings. I just sent an offer to two different people on craigslist. Both have demolition man pinballs posted. I offered them both $1000 for them. One has his posted for $2350 and the other has it posted for $2000. I think these are pretty over priced so I will be curious to see what they come back with or if they even reply to me at all.

There is one posted on ebay with a day left and it is going for $810. All the others on ebay with the super high price tags on them have zero bids so hopefully that is a wakeup call for these guys posting these games for way higher then they should be.
