OK, got a cab, Police 911, standard width for t-molding, and the front corner is busted off.

My idea is to find an appropriatae piece of wood, and cut/sand the piece to fit close to the missing part and bondo/wood putty/sand/paint to re-make the corner.

What wood do you use for the sides? Probably gonna go to Home Depot to get it.

Thanks for any ideas. I will post a pic of the corner later this evening.

Go get a MDF panel from Home Depot. Check the scrap first because you might find a small piece for just a couple of bucks. Don't mess with plywood because you'll never get it smooth enough.

For me it depends on what the cabinet is made of. If it is plywood, I get cabinet grade ply, if it is particle or something similar I use MDF.

Yeah, MDF if it's particleboard.

Use the slot cutter in your router to biscuit join it though! Glue and biscuits will make it super strong. Then bondo / sand the surface.
