Ok guys. Just picked up a WGK4903 to put into my pac. How do I hook up the sync? From the pac harness there are two orange/red wires and on the monitor chassis I have 'pos vertical sync, pos horizontal sync; neg vertical sync, neg horizontal sync. Also there are 2 grounds. How do I work this beast because the way I have it hooked up now I get squiggles and all sorts of junk on the screen.

Well, your pac connector should have already been wired - with a 6-pin molex (with 4 wires on it) and a 3-pin molex (with 2 wires on it).

On the 4903, you would connect it by putting the 6-pin molex closest to the adjustment pots (with the red wire on the end). then you put the 3-pin molex on the other end (with the 2 wires on the last two pins).

Now, sometimes the 4903 doesn't like to sync properly with the vertical negative sync attached, so you can move that 3-pin connector over so that the middle hole is on the last pin and the last wire isn't on any pin - and it should work. You'll probably have to adjust the horizontal and vertical hold pots to get it stable.

And this is assuming that the 4903 is working properly and doesn't need to be rebuilt...

I saw that Bob roberts may have said something about that on his site. Anyways, I tried it and all I get is random artifacts jumping around on the screen. I believe the monitor works because: A) I got it off of a guy on ebay that sells a bunch of monitors and said that it worked. If it didnt I get to return it (which would suck because this is my second monitor, though not the second from him). B( because when pac dies and the screen goes black in the regular game, the garbage goes black on my screen as well. Could this be a rom issue?

Maybe. If you have another game, get them close together and hook up the video from one to the monitor in the other...

Here are some pics. The one shown of the screen is taken through a mirror. also, the pic of the header id sheet is from the chassis. I read somewhere that running the two orange wires to one pin would work... didnt want to try that until my other options are exhausted.

Looking at the first pic, you are one pin off on the 6 pin molex to the left. You missed the header with the 6 pin molex connector.

yea Dokert - no go with anything I try as far as switching pin connections to different places. And the H hold doesnt give me much change either, other than to one extreme it gives a nice loud hiss sound.
