Any clue by this pic? I see WG on the chassis, but it looks like the rest of the tag is torn. I was thinking it might be a K7400 by Bob Roberts site.

Well, based on that picture, we only know that is is either a K7400, K7500, U2000, or U5000.

Look at the back left corner for a sticker. it will say WGMxxyy, with xx being the size of the tube, and yy being the first two numbers of the model...

EDIT - just saw you said the tag was torn. You'll have to pull it out and get a better pic to positively ID it...

I think he just meant the serial number tag there on that heatsink is torn.

But yeah, a full on pic is needed to doubly verify which one it is if there are no other labels around.

Might be another label on the metal frame, or a small label stuck on the main chassis with a "Pxxx" number of sorts on it. (like P719, P763, etc)

Thanks. I guess now onto my issue for anyone that will help.

Seems the red doesnt work or is very faint. When I cut the machine on, it is mainly blue but you can play the game after a couple minutes, you could be playing it or hitting the cabinet, the green kicks in. But the Red doesnt seem to be. I have adjusted the pots on the back of the monitor and no change on the red.

Is there any particular issues with these chassis'? What is the first thing to attempt? The picture itself is very crisp and clear, just the colors are all jacked up.

First thing I would check are the solder joints on the header pins where the video input cable plugs into the chassis.
And also check the neckboard for bad solder joints as well.

Check the solder and traces around the drive transistors on the neckboard. Seems to be a lot of issues with those...

some folks have actually had to replace the neckboard due to fried traces

If you know anybody with a rejuvenator id reccomend getting your tube tested as well. WOuld suck to spend so much time and money on your chassis only to find it has a tube issue as well.

I am trying to decide if its worth the headache to figure out. I am not comfortable working on chassis' really. Considering sending it to Arcadecup, or just sell it as is since it isnt a keeper for me in the long term. But the kids like it.

Is there a walkthrough out there for monitor repair?
