I have the opportunity to purchase one of these machines and later down the road, trade for another.

Machine would be used by myself, wife and 9 year old girl.

Big Buck Hunter
Dirty Harry
Last Action Hero
Lethal Weapon 3
Lost in Space
Road Show
Terminator 2
Viper Night Drivin'

Does the Viper Night Drivin' have the glo-balls in it? From that last, either Road Show, Viper or Last Action Hero depending on price.

Roadshow and LAH. Dirty Harry is a solid game too, and LW3 is decent. One of these 4, in that rough order.

T2 is decidedly meh. Lost in Space looks cool but is incredibly boring. Viper is weak. BBH is not fun, way unbalanced toward the right flipper.

I might be the only one that hates the puppets enough to pass on Roadshow. Rudy was creepy, Red and Ted are fruity.

I think Dirty Harry or T2, but it has been a while since I played either. I want to love Viper, but it looks like a home made conversion from another game with the mish-mash of art styles and stuck on K-Mart toys.

You are not the only one who hates pin puppets. Erg.

I just got a T2 but it's not yet working so I'm not qualified to weigh in on that one. Seems like a pretty sparse playfield though.

lw3 is very fun and family friendly.i think i would also get viper night driving if it has the glow balls

If you're looking for fun factor, I'd go with
Lost In Space

If you're looking for resale value, I'd go with
Road Show
Terminator 2

Just my opinions...

My top choices would be DH followed by T2 (a simple but fast, fun game). LiS is intriguing - I've never played one in person, but have played in in visual pinball. It's not deep but it looks and sounds great.

From your list I like Road Show the best. I'd throw Doctor Who out there as a great low cost game with underrated gameplay. A local guy just got a Dirty Harry and is not loving it.

YMMV!

Im with you on the Doctor Who. They are just so hard for me to find here in Texas without having to spend retail prices.
