Opinion poll: I have a GO7 monitor that has a handfull of hours on it and a perfect tube. It's all original and once i blow the dust off, this thing will look like it came out of the box. I've been saving this for my last Ms. Pac restoration since the serial number is low enough on this machine that it would have come with a GO7

I also have a brand new Wells D7700 that i've been saving for the right candidate and now that the Journey has arrived, i'm trying to decide which machine should get which monitor. The Journey now has a new Vision Pro(which i can't stand) and i found a GO7 tag floating in the bottom of the cabinet. This one also came with a GO7 from the factory so which one gets the new Wells?

Both machines are getting restored so the originality of both really isn't the issue i guess so do i burn up a beautiful GO7 on a common game or stick it in the less common Journey?

Might as well throw that VP in a box and send it to me. I'll have no problem standing it...

:D

Just out of curiosity, why do you dislike Vision Pros so much? I have two new ones, one in an Ikari Warriors and the other in an SFII, and the picture is flawless. They definitely look better than the pictures on the worn WG K4600 and K7000 that I replaced with them. They also look better than the two worn Sanyo 20-Z2AWs in my Super Punch-Out machine.

Now I've never seen the picture on a brand new G07 or D7700, but I don't see any room for improvement on the Vision Pro's picture. There are absolutely no purity issues, no geometry issues, no convergence issues, no brightness or contrast issues, and the picture is perfectly sharp; and it was that way out of the box for both monitors. I don't know what more you could ask for from a monitor.

I would gladly pay the shipping on that VP if you want to get it outta your hair :)

I'll pay the shipping plus 60% of what a new one would cost from a retailer; assuming it really is almost new and not a lemon.
